Our Most Reverend Mother Maria Gemma de Jesus Aranda, EFMS, consecrated herself as a Capuchin Nun in Mexico City. After the Mexican religious persecution and still being faithful to her commitment, Mother Gemma gathered all the dispersed nuns and re-established the Community. In 1943 the Holy See gives her the title "Foundress" of the Eucharistic Franciscan Missionary Sisters. In 1957, under her leadership, the community comes to Los Angeles, CA. Then in 1963, the canonical erection of the first convent was blessed by Cardinal James Francis McIntyre. The love for the Eucharist is still very much alive in each and every one of the members of this institute and in 1970 that seed of love for the Blessed Sacrament emerged with renewed fervor as it began a new chapter in the United States. God's loving Hand is faithful and it is He who DESERVES IT ALL.
====================
